Good afternoon, I'm flying from Oklahoma City, Ok. to Fort Jackson, SC 29207. I would like to get information on what plane should I take, rental car and room closet to the base.

Several hotels are at I-77 and HWY 378, 2 exits from the main gate at I-77 and Forest Dr. You can register as a visitor at this gate or at the next gate to the north at Boyden Arbor Rd and Percival Rd. Columbia Metropolitan Airport is the common airport 30 minutes from post, but some use Charlotte, NC 1.3 hrs from post or Charleston International Airport about 1.45 hrs from post. Cost and times are sometimes better at the last two.

Columbian airport, any rental but you need to, or someone with you in the care need to have a military ID to get into the base. Rooms are expensive in base check near by base online

We drove from Arkansas so I'm not able to help. We stayed at Super 8 in Petersburg which was wonderful!
