Safe, well-managed visit. Dr James was easy to talk to, open to questions and responses were informative.

Have been a patient at Columbia Skin Clinic for several years and have never been disappointed. Today, arrived over an hour early and they took me right back. Excellent patient care!

Dr. James and her staff are absolutely FANTASTIC! This was my first appointment for Botox and they really took the time to explain the procedure, understand my goals, and create a plan together to fit my needs. Dr. James is an artist, with an air of confidence that ensured my comfort knowing I’d be getting top notch results, in 7-10 days of course! I highly recommend Dr. James and Columbia Skin Clinic for any and all cosmetic dermatology needs. Can’t wait for my next appointment!

Should I be concerned about Covid vaccine if have had facial fillers in past?

Rose Sheheen | Oct 22, 2021
Asha P. James, MD | Oct 22, 2021

Hi Rose, sites of previous filler placement can become inflamed after any sort of stimulation of the immune system. The can happen after viral illness, vaccines, or even dental cleaning/procedures. My recommendation is to avoid vaccination for 4 weeks after filler. Of course, if you have a reaction or any inflammation, notify your doctor immediately.

New here. Have had 2 Mohs procedures in the past. I want to choose you. What would happen if I should need another Mohs at some point?

Barbara Smith | Oct 23, 2019
Asha P. James, MD | Oct 23, 2019

Hi Barbara, we have a Mohs surgeon, Dr. Chow, here at Columbia Skin Clinic that all of our doctors refer to when needed. He is excellent and Dr. James, along with the rest of the physicians here, trust him entirely! Should you need another Mohs surgery you would see Dr. Chow and then continue to be followed by your primary dermatologist all without having to go anywhere else.
