Nope! Just drive up to the gate entrance and purchase your pass. 🙂👍
We didn't, but it says to.
Keep in mind, this listing is referring to Grandfather Mountain State Park, not the nonprofit nature park (Mile High Swinging Bridge, wildlife habitats, etc.). The state park consists primarily of backcountry hiking and is free to enter, while the nonprofit park features attractions and amenities and charges admission. The nature park is also still requiring advanced reservations by visiting grandfather.com. Although enacting during COVID, this system helps cut down on lines, wait times and crowding, etc., during the park's busier days.
With Covid-19 still going on. They have windows for visiting time's. You can chance driving there and being able to get in. I would recommend going online and prepaying for you tickets and visiting time.
I would. They have a certain amount of spaces available. Weekends will be booked.
No we were able to drive in and purchase tickets at the gate
Yes always during the summer months
Didn't make any reservations the week of Memorial Holiday and no issues. Just paid the $22 per person to enter
Yes since the covid-19
Yes, all camp sites require reservations now, the days of first come first serve grease pencil on board are gone, same system as all State Parks. If you are asking about the Bridge Yes on that too, that is an independent entity with reservations online.
I reserved online since I was going on Memorial Day.
