If you have a Huntington pass it is free.
If you are a resident in the town of Huntington you get a decal for 40 bucks to use the whole season. If you want to go for just the day its 20 or 25 bucks, so it pays to get the decal for the season. Buy it at the booth on the right, bring proof of residency like a license or lease or deed.
In short. Nothing is free in NY. In fact. It's one of these trivial fees where no one can figure out where any of the money collected is ending up. Its supposed to go for upkeep. Although there is none. So. Who's pocketing all the tolls and fees collected? No one seems to know. Hmmm... very very interesting. I'd be willing to bet a gold ring the money is being stolen by corrupt government or mafia.
