Dogs are only allowed on the beach from Sept. 15th through March 15th. Dogs are never allowed in the water (ocean or bay). Dogs are never allowed off-leash at Fort Tilden (or other parts of Gateway National Recreation Area). Leashes must be no longer than 6 feet.
