Prepare to pay for parking either at the train station (by the hour via pay app) or at the visitors center ($20 for three days) where they'll bus you (every 15 min.) to the parks bus stop. Lots of hiking at Maryland Heights and the C&O canal. Several nice & quaint shops, cafés & restaurants to visit too. We spent about 4 hours touring, but an enthusiast would have no problem spending the entire day in this area of Harpers Ferry.

Nice, interesting, read the story first and then go. A nice day !

What a magical and spectacular place to walk, enjoy nature, the old and even to drink and eat something delicious... This place is extraordinary... I loved it

If you have a pet don't pay the $20 to park at the visitor center. Pets are not allowed on the shuttle bus and it's a 3 Mile round trip walk to the exhibits.

Yes. Keep in mind that this is a carry in carry out park. There were very few garbage cans if any.
It's less than 30 minutes drive to historical sites like Antietam Battlefield and natural wonders like the Crystal Grottoes stalactite cave. Not to mention hiking and River rafting/ tubing.
Yes this is a year round kind of spot especially for hikers or history buffs.
There is no admission to the park itself. There is a few for parking. Best plan is to park above town, walk down, and enjoy the park that way.
You have to pay $15.00 to park and preferably take the blue bus into Harper's Ferry because where you get into the historic area there is minimal parking, look for Park entrance. Off of route 340 also known as the William Wilson Parkway.
I'm not sure the shuttles are running. There is a website that shows what holidays they partake in.
Yessssss! They were even renting floatation doughnuts
Bolivar Heights has a nice flat short path.
Deer, lots of different birds. Maybe a bear on the mountain. Yes, there are animals.
According to the sign posted, $20 per car

I think year round. And do the look over hike ... tough but worth it
Yup, sure is
You can use shuttle here. But if you will walking it will be more interesting
No. None of the historic builds are wheelchair accessible. Outside lower town and river paths is about it.
Yes i was just there campers were washed out
No flooding, the KOA is on a mountain over looking Harpers Ferry.
Parking here is a joke. Its free at the train station but don't even bother. Never spaces open unless you camp there overnight
Idk but I'm pretty sure it's open till dark. From like 9 am
Honeymoon....no....weekend get away yes!
$20 for regular folks. Military discounts etc. available
There was a sign on the church that stated ghost tours started at 8pm. #1 rated ghost tour per trip advisor. But, it also stated the church is open...and it was not.
Yes. There's an Exxon along the 340 just before entering the bridge into town.
