Yes, you must show proof of your pets shot records when camping in any Suffolk county camp ground.
Melissa, both answers here are ridiculous and of no help whatsoever. This is what I found: The park opens Friday morning at 8:45am. Call them at 631.854.1424. You did not state whether or not you have a service dog for blind or handicapped. The park is managed by Suffolk County Parks. Further, there are different types of camping. You must reserve a campsite for a minimum of four nights between April 1st until October 31st. Your pet must be inoculated and show proof if asked. They are not permitted in rest rooms, picnic areas, or where food is served to the public. Dog tags from a Veterinarian usually show what inoculations your pet has received. Okay, call them if necessary to confirm my information. Also, your pet must be on a leash at all times. Go to www.suffolkcountyny.gov for complete information and go to "OUR CAMPGROUNDS" This is all that I could find at one in the morning. Good luck and happy camping!
