Had a quick detour here on my way out to the hamptons and it was gorgeous this time of year. Parking was free in the off season but there’s a fee in the summer months. Plenty of parking. Only negative was the constant sounds of guns shooting at a nearby shooting range (at least that’s what I hope I was hearing)

Nice park, has a lake that's fishable, plenty of parking and good clean bathhouse plus a kids playground .
Long Island Bigfoot
Wonderful place a little slice if heaven off the highway. Its so vast and has a lot of variety

April 1st is when county parks open for the camping season
Severe Beetle infestation. Trying to protect trees and pines that are unaffected.
The water there is very murky, very muddy and is overgrown with plant life on the bottom. It is home to tons of ducks and geese. I wouldn't recommend it.
Call the camp direct and let them know
I know they'll be open for our event on Sept. 24th.

There shouldn't be
Yes, you must show proof of your pets shot records when camping in any Suffolk county camp ground.
No it stays on 24 hours.
8 pm most days
I believe the boat rentals should be starting this weekend. I think the hours are 10-3? And $50 for the first couple hours and $10 for each additional hour? They only have row boats.
If you go along the paths they are acouple of miles
Yes during the summer. Unless you get there early enough. Reduced fee with parks pass. There is also a side entrance where the trains are where you can sort of avoid the fee, if your low on funds.
Your best bet is to call ahead. You nay have to reserve it.
I would make a reservation. in might be packed out like most campground
Not there anymore. There is a hatchery in Connetquot State Park.
There's no food court here. If you're hungry, bring your own food or go to one of the many restaurants outside of the park.
