I appreciate your prompt answer to my question Mr. Edge. My friends mother is deaf , although just seeing each other would be better than nothing but...... shes left message after message for the staff with no return calls. Shes emotional and doesn't want to take the issue any farther but im thinking about calling the mayors office. In your opinion is that a viable option?
I understand your feelings. It's happening to a lot of families right around now. The protocols are in place to mitigate the spread of the virus so that others who also have terminal illnesses or otherwise have compromised or weakened immune systems (most everyone over the age of 80) don't get exposed. Especially with flu season starting up, it's doubly important that those who can't protect themselves are protected from germs carried in on clothes and other parts of your body. Try seeing if there's a way to video chat your loved ones rather than seeing them in person. It's not as good as the real thing, but at least they wont have as much risk of contracting any disease. If that's not possible, try contacting the facility to see if you can do a window visit with audio through a phone call. There are alternate ways to keep in contact without physically being in the room.
