Yes .. be sure to have item tagged with door greeter.. go directly to the loss & found counter.. if you have up to date photo passport .. be sure to present it... DNA may be needed..
Yes you can still return it. I've returned a inverter without the box they were able to find the receipt with the phone number I had given them at the time of purchase. I also had the receipt that was emailed to me.

you must have the paper work they gave you ate the store to make a claim. you could call the store for more details, but without proof of purchase, going to be a problem.
