Doesn't sound accurate. I just copied this directly from the HSHC website: "If your match doesn’t turn out to be the love of your life, our adoption policy requires the animal be returned to the shelter so we can ensure they are safely re-homed. Finding a pet a new home via Craigslist or other advertising outlets often results in a devastating outcome for an animal. Someone else out there is the right match, and we promise not to give up until we’ve found that home."

I can no longer take care of my pet, I can take it to this place, I just want it to have a good home and someone who can take better care of it.

Please do not place on Craig's list. Animals get killed and abused on there all the time!

Oh what a relief I was concerned about doing what's best for the cat. Thank you I will let her know

You can try a different shelter or animal rescue/control, there are a few around Indy.

Wish I could take it. I hope you get a good home for it.

I would seek out a different humane society there's one in Indianapolis
