You first need a certificate from a registered dr thats legal to distribute. Then you have to go on NYState medical marijuana website and put in your certificate number, pay a fee of I think it was $60 for the state id card then you can buy product at any dispensary. My dr gives me a certificate thats good for one yr for $200. I was going to a different dr that was charging me $300 cash every month just for the certificate. Be careful not to get ripped off. Actually you need to see a pain management specialist after you've been written out prescription meds for a certain period of time and its showing theres no relief from any of it then you can make a consult with a specialist in the same clinic who does medical marijuana which obviously has a fee and then you pay the other fee to start an account and purchase the card which gets delivered to you in the mail. Then everytime you need a new prescription every month or 2months to make the purchase. Also remember you need to pay the same fee to update and renew the card yearly. Hope that helped.
