The museum operates on donations. The recommend donation is $15. It is absolutely worth every penny. It is not part of the Smithsonian, but equally as good. Highly recommend this museum.

Technically the museum ia free although there is a suggested donation of $15, which is needed as they operate purly on the gifts of people and receive no government funding they are nonfor profit
