We were there in late December. We were able to park on the street for absolutely free!
Parking about a block away next to Holiday Inn $16.
Parking is good
Parking was definitely a lot better during the week. We went on a Saturday and a Wednesday. I also just want to recommend that you go visit the Old Testament Tour, it was fantastic!
Go on the weekend, there's free street parking. I haven't had much trouble parking within a 10 min walk to the museum.
There's a garage within walking distance (6th and C streets I think). Never had a problem getting a space during the weekend.
I think it is best if you take the metro. You can't really be sure if you would get good parking
I parked in a garage it was $16 for the day.
It is better to take the metro, the walk to the Museum is not long at all, not sure about the parkig, I saw street parking but you do have to pay.
I stade at a hotel and had free shuttle to the metro subway that took us very close walking distance from the museum. If you drive to The area planning to visit several museums you will walk a lot anyway. There's private parking garages around if you drive there. You could choose this option.
Take the metro in if you want to have stress free driving and parking.
I went to the museum around the holidays on 12/24 & 12/31. Parking was challenging. I circled the area many times, but I was eventually able to find nearby on street parking. I didn't pay for parking both times on Sunday. If you want to drive, pack your patience. If you have no patience, use the SpotHero app.
you have many private parking around.
The parking is not good. Metered spaces. Take metro it is on the orange line Federal Center SW.
We walked, so I'm not sure
There is a public parking garage in the same block, it cost us $20. Very close, well worth it.
On Sunday there is a lot of free parking around the mall (but spaces do fill up quickly!) - that is what we did. Bible Museum is only 10 min walk from the mall.
When I go again I will pay a little extra for garage parking, there is one very close to the museum. We parked at metered parking across the street, which was close, but leaving every 2 hours to feed the meter was inconvenient, especially because it was below freezing and the meters were not easy to figure out.
We are using to park near the Botanical Garden or on the other side of the pool. There are signs "Permit required", but this rule does not apply on weekends.
I was this that there is a small lout behind the museum, but out was full quickly. There is on street 2 hour parking (metered). Best bet is a public parking garage nearby.
We took the metro in
