Ask yourself why you're going? If you're going to be entertained this may not be the right place for you. But if you want to truly authenticate your own faith and biblical experience, slow down, pray often, and let God's word speak to you!
We intended initially just to go in for a couple of hours but we were there all day and wasn't able to see everything. There are several floors to go through. Some of the tours & attractions are included in the price of admission and some are additional cost, some are at specific times so you need to look into that right when you get there. I wouldn't recommend the personal tours only because they use up a big chunk of your time. I recommend "Washington Revelations" a theatre experience that flies over DC, it's really cool! I recommend looking at their website before you go..
We went through in 4 hours however we had two children with us who got bored. There were not any shows going on which they have frequently. One of the guides in the museum said to thoroughly go through everything would take 8 days, I guess it's like anything you can move along quickly or take your time..
Expect 5 hours or more if you want to see everything. If you don't read much and don't watch many videos, 3 hours, but it won't be worth the trip. I did three days and still haven't read everything.
We only had 5 hours. It was not enough we will go back on our next trip to east coast
2-3 days to enjoy yourselves.
Full day or even 2
Mayr two days if you want the full experience.
Yes, minimum full day, or maybe 2 days.
