There has been weddings held near the pond. We walk through the park daily and a couple months ago, we noticed chairs set up and an arch for a wedding. Only issue would be parking, guests would have a bit of a walk to the venue.

Many have gotten married at Purcell Park. From little weddings upon the Bridge to Huge ones of 50 or more married under the Huge Oak Tree. Call The City of Harrisonburg Va and see how busy your date is .. So Happy for the Both of You. There is one Big Covering so if it Rains you will have it and its near The Castle if you have Children that want to play n near the Restrooms. Plenty of parking there too. Purcell Park would be a lovely place to hold your Wedding too. Congratulations to the Both of You!!

I guess you could. I would go walk around the park and make sure it's what you want. There's a small pond that has a covered area at it,I believe there's a number on the shelter you can call to reserve or call the city of Harrisonburg for information, hope this helps.
