Yes, you must obtain a Sportsman License, if you wish to carry a firearm while hunting. Philadelphia County does not issue Sportsman Licenses. They are issued by the city/county Treasury Office, so you will have to contact one of the surround counties.

that's a good question you are probably going to have to Google but this is what I know. you will need a licence for hunting game In PA. even with a sportsman license , it does not Supersede the laws of your conceal to carry license .so if you get your hunters license you must follow the rules on transporting you weapon to and from the game sites. I do not know how that works in reverse but I think ultimately the answer to your question will be yes because in order to fish or hunt in Pa, you must be licensed. please let me know how that works out by replying to this answer for I am now interested to know how that would work.
