I went to Ashanti Beauty Salon for the first time. I was greeted at the door. The staff was wonderful. The stylist name Veronica, was beautiful. She made me fill comfortable and made suggestion ,it work. She did her thing, everybody was telling me how nice my hair look. I finally found a good hair salon and a good hairstyles. I was in the city on vacation from the Boston area and thought I might as well get my hair done while I'm out here spending tourist money. I got a silk press and trim by Veronica and it is by far one of THE BEST silk presses I've had. The texture was perfect, with great body and flow. It's recommended you only wear the style for a week or two, but it held strong for three. Keep in mind it was raining the day I got my hair done, and it's the beginning of spring so it's been raining off and on the whole time. Light exercise and everything--it has kept its luster and texture. When I finally did wash my hair, my curls were gorgeous, soft, and HEALTHY. I couldn't tell you how long my appointment was, if timelines is something you care about. I have really thick hair, so it's not a point that is important to me. Customer service was great. Veronica was friendly and checked with me often during the process to make sure she wasn't hurting me in any way. It was a very good experience; definitely recommend scheduling an appointment. Honestly, it was so good, I would consider flying back just to have her do it again.
