does my powertrain choice cover my dash lights? there is a problem with them and on rough roads the vibration will turn off everything on the dash.

If it is powertrain only, the dash lights would not be covered as the powertrain covers all of the internally lubricated parts of your engine, transmission, drive axles and transfer case.
