take 528 to riverside drive, as you drive down riverside drive there is a kids park on the right, park in the second parking lot. You will see a dirt road immediately after the park, the dirt road leads to the bike/hiking paths and the river. I have seen people drive there cars down the dirt road but i have always parked at the park as there is a sign that says no motor vehicles except in designated areas but doesn't designate any areas.

Lol. It's easy to. There are a couple of ways. One is off of Riverside drive. It's the dirt road on the east side of the park just as you pass the arroyo if your coming from hwy 528. The other entrance is from Rivers edge III. Once you turn off of hwy 528 (going east), you'll pass two streets on your left and then there's a sneaky diet road on your left, turn there and follow that road, it dead ends at a parking lot. There's some nice maintained trails there.
