This is a wonderful spot to access the Bosque trails. Going upriver will provide you with some unobstructed views of the river and the Sandia Mountains; going downriver immerses you in the wonders of a uniquely New Mexico Cottonwood forest. These are two early morning views of the Sandias taken while hiking the trails.

Nice spot to go and hang out at the river. Easy access if you are in a vehicle and even funner getting there of you have a UTV!

Great place for a hike. Unpaved road next to park is what you take to a gravel parking area. Bring water & a snack - you'll want to explore for awhile!

take 528 to riverside drive, as you drive down riverside drive there is a kids park on the right, park in the second parking lot. You will see a dirt road immediately after the park, the dirt road leads to the bike/hiking paths and the river. I have seen people drive there cars down the dirt road but i have always parked at the park as there is a sign that says no motor vehicles except in designated areas but doesn't designate any areas.
I hope not. However, after Googling I found a link for permits in ABQ area. Maps of areas open for Christmas tree cutting are only provided when applying. https://www.blm.gov/programs/natural-resources/forests-and-woodlands/forest-product-permits/new-mexico-christmastrees
I recommend fishing the ditch that runs adjacent to the river in bernalillo. I heard they stock it with trout, but not 100% sure but I have caught trout in it. You can also fish the ditch in corrales as well as off of Alameda
