Do you guys have attorneys to work in ozaukee county. Looking for a low income base attorney for a child custody case. My kids have been in my care 24/7 since birth and there 12 1/2 and 10 and don't want to he at there fathers. I was served a few weeks ago. And have a hearing on march 24th.
As a child of divorce myself, I believe the age is more like twelve and the court usually appoints a "guardian ad litem" for kids. It's basically an attorney that is tasked with representing the wishes of the children, but also representing in court what is in their best interest. The Legal Aid Society is not free, however, they base their fees on a person's income or lack thereof.
