If you mean a beta fish and you're talkin about a 10+ gallon aquarium, it would still depend on what you cleaned it with. Betta fish usually need specific kinds of water or a certain water modifier added to the water before putting a betta fish in it. The risk of you're cleaning chemicals or anything leftover from the chameleon contaminating the tank is not one I recommend taking, also if the last tank wasn't used with water, the sealing could've been damaged by your pet or their habitat. I'd recommend getting a new tank. A 10gal tank at petsmart is only about 10 dollars or so.
Yes should be just fine.
Not sure I have dogs
Is it worth the risk?
Maybe not sure. You would have to ask someone that works at petsmart .
