A rotation, in museum lingo, is the changing of a work or multiple works on display; as one is taken off view, another replaces it.
Mike answered it well. Pretty much a seasonal exhibit. They change it on a set schedule.
I just viewed the Casanova exhibit. It was wonderful. It ends Dec 31st.
