Like the above posts... It's free for the permanent collections, but there is a fee for some special visiting collections... For me there was plenty to see within all the free permanent collections...
Tuesdays all day and Friday evenings are half price! They say there's a limited quantity of half price admissions but I've never had a problem.
The main museum is free...if you want the featured exhibit it is $19 or like $75 for a family membership for a year pass...but you can go for free one day......it kills your feet and back if u try it all in one day...trust me!
Viewing any of the museum's permanent collections is free. However, there's usually a fee of around $19 to view the temporary "special collections" the museum advertises.
I went to the Casanova exhibit recently and it was about $19 per person.
If you don't want to go in any exhibit it's free, but if u do it costs $19
^ Each exhibit has it's own fee.
