The orginal owner built it in the late 1990's early 2000's. It was originally called the Memphis Diner. It was a great diner with good food and good prices. It sat empty for about 10 years before being bought by new owners.
Remolded a few years ago. The original building is thirty plus years.
In the 50's.
In the 90s, it was part of a local chain called Philips, of which there were 4 or 5 around town. 24 hour greasy spoon. Was empty for a bit, then was something else briefly, and then City Diner. I guess City Diner has changed hands - the menu is more streamlined than it was 10 years ago and they close much earlier, which is a shame as I would generally go at night.
I believe it was in the late 50's based on what I saw.
