Apparently we got lucky compared to other reviews. Regret not having taken pictures. Our room was fortunately clean. But from the ceiling was hanging the CO2 or smoke alarm and just left like that ready to fall. The carpet is so old but no stains in ours. There was a plastered dead mosquito like a huge one on the wall. So someone killed it and decided to not clean it up. The window huge dumpster was our view. No construction noise. The doors to the “convention center” restrooms were just not there. The hot water takes a good while to come on almost thought there would be none. The lobby is so old the front desk attendants kind of paid attention to us, there were 2 people helping and making jokes with people in front of us instead of helping other people in line. The blackout curtains in our room did not cover the entire window, in a summer in Alaska where daylight extends into night. Did not have a peaceful sleep because of that. Although they did hold on to our bags upon checkout and kept them safe. The shuttle we only waited 5 min. So mixed bag.

So why are the rooms so expensive, yes it’s tourism time. But really? Room has an unplugged fridge fine but inside smells like death and it has hair and grimy my food stuck inside. No trash cans to be found. Got the run around about speaking to management. This is beyond ridiculous. Very sad and dissatisfied. Will continue to reach out for an explanation as to why they have such low standards.

This hotel is horrible! No elevator and had to walk to 3rd floor on the broken stairs! Carpet was super gross, hair in bathtub, sink didn’t work well. Peeling walls. Some of the reviews are clearly fake. The whole floor is under renovation. The staff opened two rooms which had only bedding and partially covered floor. It was smelly in the rooms with paint odor. Our flight arrived at midnight and we are too tired to change hotel. I can’t believe it’s a $270 hotel.

Do not believe the pictures. The hotel looks nothing like the interior photos. Our room was filthy, goo on the table, hair all over the bathroom and vanity, some sort of stains on bath ceiling, debris on the floor, and so on. Breakfast was decent, the employees were nice and helpful, and shuttle was the savior of the hotel. Much better options for the price. Some renovations going on, but that’s no excuse for the condition of room.
