I love diners, and this one is my favorite in town. It's clean, has a classic diner aesthetic, and the traditional breakfast always satisfies. The bacon is thick and the portion overall is filling. Some other diners in town can seem dirty and aged, Sami's is the best option to guarantee the environment and service won't gross you out haha

Nice place to coax your nostalgia. Decent menu with a good spread between breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For what the have in abundance for options they lack a bit in quality. Everything tasted alright but it wasn't the best in town. The customer service is probably what keeps this place running because they have some excellent waitresses who are quick and friendly. Will be back for that brownie sundae though!

To be fair, they are running on limited staff. So maybe at another time it would be a higher star rating. We did get a discount on our food, because several food items were wrong and some forgotten. We didn't want to make a big deal, but it was a rather disappointing visit over all. 😕 On the positive, haha, if you love bacon than this is a place for you. I had an omelet that included about a cup of bacon bits in it. Yummy, but a bit much for me. 😀 Food was good, I liked that they offered a large variety of options, and it wasn't greasy. I appreciated the nice staff and cleanliness of the place. I think they are worth trying out sooner in the day, when more staff is available.

Great place for breakfast and lunch (I haven't eaten dinner here yet). The food is consistently pretty good and there are plenty of different options to choose from. My niece and nephew have always loved coming here to eat. Prices are reasonable, which makes family meals a bit easier on the budget. They are also one of the few restaurants in West Anchorage open right now for breakfast during the weekday. The staff is very nice and there is plenty of seating options for individuals, couples/friends, and larger groups. Feels like a Diner without having that greasy Diner experience you get elsewhere. I would recommend City Diner over Gwennies any day.

The orginal owner built it in the late 1990's early 2000's. It was originally called the Memphis Diner. It was a great diner with good food and good prices. It sat empty for about 10 years before being bought by new owners.
People are seated 2 tables apart and all employees were mask. Booths and tabels are cleaned, with things being wiped down constantly.
Breakfast served all day ma'am.
I honestly cannot answer your question. My family, we are regular customer here and we have never have any problems. im sure you its their default procedures to put them together unless specified by the customer when they make to go order.
