As others have stated, being a National Seashore, facilities follow federal holidays for closures. Access to the peninsula is always open as there are no entrance booths/gates, and there are privately owned properties along the way. The lighthouse is indeed closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday every week.

If you want to go to the lighthouse (which I'd recommend), check to see first if it's open. It was closed off the day we went, on a Tuesday.
