If you are paying at the passport agency you can pay with card, check, money order or cash (must be exact)
If you do not have a check book your local post office normally can issue you a money order.
In person you can pay by card. However, With that much time you will not be permitted to apply at the agency. The agency is for emergency travel only. They farthest you can be out from travel is 2 weeks.
