Blackwater River, Red Run, Dry Fork, Glady are all popular trout streams within a short drive. The South Branch of the Potomac produces some big fish and is a reasonable drive. Seneca Creek, located near the well known Seneca Rocks, is probably a 40 min drive but was listed in the popular book, "100 Top Trout Streams in the US." There are a number of small native trout stream creeks nearby as well, but those you just have to get off of the beaten path to find.
There are lots of areas to fish. One of the local shops sold fishing gear in Davis.
On the way here were a lot of fishing but can't tell where
