Fast six person lift. Great grooming nightly. Buy a season pass if you plan to be a regular before July first, save big. Weekdays never crowded. Holidays and three day weekend gets busy. Enhanced snowmaking.

I am 31 and have never been skiing until January. My bf convinced me to give it a try and boy I hated it. The staff was fantastic. From checking in, to picking out poles, and skis to use, they were nice and helpful the entire time. If I could give them additional stars I would. I started on the beginners trail and fell on my face more times that I could count. ANYWAY - I decided against my better judgment to try a bigger slope - I paid for a lift ticket I was gonna use it! Not sure how I made it down the Salamander trail but was terrified after the fact and I own it! I decided skiing was not for me. While taking a breather to regain my mental I realized my car keys had broke from the clasp. The staff looked for my keys with no judgement and seemed to enjoy the task. We were stranded at the snow resort. After some family help we got home but without those lost keys. I called 2 months later and these magic people found my car keys and mailed them to me. I called 2x during those 2 months and each and every time the staff were fantastic.

This mountain is run like a well oiled machine. 6 seat high speed lift means any line is short. Trail maintenance and snow making is on point. All the staff I came up on were super nice, helpful and welcoming. Great experience, and my vote for best skiing in the mid Atlantic

The new upgrades from the new owners are terrific. The trails were groomed beautifully. The RFID cards make the ski lift lines go through smooth and quickly. The rental shop for skis and gear are efficiently designed to make the process smooth and less confusing. The team members were extremely courtesy and helpful. We will definitely be going back!!!

It reopened with new lifts and improved snow making.
If you need a pharmacy you can drive down the road to Elkins wv it's about 20 to 25 minutes away and they have multiple pharmacy's including Walgreens, rite aid, and cvs
Blackwater River, Red Run, Dry Fork, Glady are all popular trout streams within a short drive. The South Branch of the Potomac produces some big fish and is a reasonable drive. Seneca Creek, located near the well known Seneca Rocks, is probably a 40 min drive but was listed in the popular book, "100 Top Trout Streams in the US." There are a number of small native trout stream creeks nearby as well, but those you just have to get off of the beaten path to find.
