$250 would be more fair. That price has been floating around for years now, but that depends on the weight too as far as i know.
$200 to $300 seems typical for the Denver area. Some variation in price depending on the popularity of the car being scrapped. A car that is popular with good parts can be parted out for more, but that takes time and advertising.
