There are also cabins that you can rent by groups and stuff and I know my sister and her friends even go up in the winter time and the cabin
I hike in the park year round. The only campgrounds I know of at island lake are on the river, accessible by canoe, I'm unsure if they're open in the winter. There's some group cabins in the back of the park as well.
