It's expensive, especially if you note that many residents consider the services inadequate.
I don't know how flexible they are with the deposit. As for expensive, that's subjective. A one-bedroom on a high floor can start around $1500 (that's factoring in the apartment itself, fees for trash, water and gas, and one parking space). If you're looking at an upgraded unit, expect the price to be higher. Also, keep in mind tower 100 is under construction at the moment. There was a flood on the first six floors that caused damage that is being repaired. The flood damage also factors in to what is available right now to rent.
Expensive can be all relative. It is one of the top apartment locations in Detroit. Like most cities, if you live off the water you will pay more.
If that's one of the top apartments in Detroit, I'd hate to see bottom locations.
