Yes the answer to your question if ,you have to take your child take them in the doctor room with you shouldn't be a problem ,you can't leave them in the waiting you have to take in room.
They are trying to be safe by asking only patients come for their appointment, but if you have a young child I wouldn't think it would be a problem.
