My husband and I have an Akbash/Husky mix, he’s a wonderful boy however we’re in a small apartment that he’s too big for. It’s not fair to him to be in a kennel all day while we’re at work. Can we bring him here to hopefully help him find a new home

Krista, I'm so sorry you are thinking of rehoming your pet, he sounds lovely!. You have several options: If he is neutered, you can try a site called Rehome. You make a profile for him and you can help pick the adopter. It is sponsored by Purina and some very reputable organizations. You could try a breed specific Rescue too. We can take him here if you live in our District for a $50 fee. We ask you to fill out a form telling us about him so that we can try to find the right fit for him. I hope this information helps you make an informed decision.

Krista, please check Facebook for rescue groups there are a lot of rescue groups in the area and some that cater just to rescuing and re-homing Huskies. Try that before you take him to the shelter. Is your dog fixed?
