We do not use a frame in the traditional sense. Our shell is self-supporting, with 1/2" balsa core imbibed within our shell to distribute weight, and strategic column supports under key stress areas for additional support. We do utilize 1x4 for additional perimeter support but framing is more for a cabinet support. When built correctly, a spa does not need a frame. Let us know if you have questions!
Our hot tub frames are made with 1x4's which are structurally more sound than the aluminum tube frames of the competitors.
