I have two pine trees in my front yard one of them has had the top half of the tree die in just three weeks the other tree is close to it but does not appear to be affected yet what should I do two save at least one of them

Brian is correct your tree if its newly planted may have suffered what known has transplant shock. Good rule of thumb give your tree about 1 inch of water per week for first couple years of planting. Also put about 2 inches of mulch around d your trees to help lock in moisture!

you need proper watering as well as proper drainage. sounds lke u may need to water nightly for a lil bit
