Some units are privately owned so they are nice. Majority of the units are trash n pool area smells like an oyster bed.
The people who don't rent through a company like Expedia/Vrbo seem to have different experiences than those who rent directly from the resort itself. I recommend booking through Vrbo or Rent in Myrtle. I've been home from my stay there for 2 days and I'd go back in a heartbeat. Rent time depends on who the renters are. The condo I rented had a 1-7 day stay where others I looked at required at least 3 days. Prices of course vary. There is also a security deposit that posts to your account about 3 days before your stay and is released after your visit. If you rent through Vrbo/Expedia, they break everything down for you. You do sign a lease per se, but it really depends on who you rent from. Hopefully this helps you out
