This was the fourth or fifth time we've stayed at Meridian. In the past it had always been very nice. This time will probably be our last. There's ZERO staff on site. You have to check in at another hotel several blocks away. There's no maid service. There's no front desk. Many of the published phone numbers are "no longer in service." I waited on a phone tree for over 15 minutes to ask about the goofy TV remotes. It's a condo with each unit owned separately. As a result there is virtually no common area maintenance. The whole facility is worn out and needs an overhaul, especially the elevators that are slow, with no ventilation. They were always steamy hot up and down. The nice common balcony on the front of the building is locked off. Our room was worn out as well. The phone, stove and fridge were broken or barely functional. No coffee filters, random, mismatched cookware, tableware, glassware, and silverware. All the furniture needed a thorough cleaning especially the nasty couch. And, of course, no clean towels or sheets over our six day stay. Only two tiny pillows for a unit that allegedly "sleeps 4." Very pricey and very disappointing in 2022. Lots of cooler places within walking distance.
