Agree with above post. Comfortable seats at tables or booths. Food is very good. Large portions for reasonable prices. Took my mom for her 82nd birthday. Her chicken wrap was huge. She had the second half for lunch the next day. I like the balboa beef sandwich. The goat cheese and grit cakes are a wonderful side! Recommend the eatery very highly.
There are two sections; the bar and the restaurant are separated by the hostess station. Friendly and quiet in the restaurant. Can be loud in the bar. Accommodating. Nice place. One of my favorites.
The bar has both tables & booth (some tables are the "counter-height" pub style) surrounding the bar & with views of multiple TVs i.e. sports bar. On the other side of the reception station/foyer & behind closed doors to mute the sound of the bar, is a very comfortable more up-scale dining area with booths around the perimeter and down the center; tables and chairs filling the area between sections of cushioned booths. Beautiful Chicago landmark pictures adorn the walls, but a few muted/Close Captioned TVs are within view. Very comfortable dining and innovative comfort food dishes.
Warm contemporary feel. Well lit, comfortable seating. Staff all in uniform. Bright pictures on the walls. Never been in the bar.
