And Hyundai recommends an oil change every 3750 miles in this climate

The paperwork you recieve should tell you what kind of oil was used in the new motor. If not u can always check the manual or the oil cap. If it says SAE the the weight prefered, that is standard oil. If it says 0w-20 that is full synthetic. Now, you are able to switch from SAE to synthetic or blend, but not back to SAE after the change. Its based on what you want. You change SAE every 3 months or 3000 miles. For synthetic, you can go up to 5000 or even 7000 miles before an oil change.

I'm a local guide just as you are Brenda. Always follow manufacturers instructions concerning maintenance. Usually engines need oil changes after 3.000 mile, sometimes more with synthetic. Hope this helps. Thanks
