Best hospital ive ever been too. And ive been to alot. If people have anything bad to say about theese guys thet havnt been to very many hospitals and dont know what there talkung about. Inconsistent and all mixed up. My wife had a certain appointment scheduled but it was registered as something else and the receptionist was very rude.

Went here for an endoscopy and colonoscopy, and had an overall great experience. App time to procedure was about another hour, but they were thorough and asked a lot of questions, got me meds I needed, etc. the nurses were wonderful and helped talk me down from my anxiety, and didn’t make me feel silly. The anesthesiologist came in and introduced himself and answered my questions patiently. My Dr. (Bala) came in and too was patient and answered my questions. When we went to the procedure room things moved quickly, the bit block was added and they started giving me the meds. I got scared but the nurse held my hand and I was out. Recovery was my only complaint. The nurse was nice but you could tell she was busy, and I was left alone to dress myself and apparently my husband wasn’t allowed back (he could have helped) and I was dizzy. I managed and they finally came and asked if I could walk. I said I doubt it so she got a wheelchair and wheeled me to my husband in the waiting room, and he used that to wheel me to the exit. So maybe more staffing for recover would alleviate this? But I would rather my spouse have been allowed back. Also the valet feature was nice and affordable ($10) which we utilized. Just wish that side of town wasn’t so busy and always under construction. Overall great experience.

Yes, there are hotels close to the hospital. I'm sitting in ER so don't have names but they give a discount if you're a patient, at least they do for The James Cancer Hospital. Ask! It's a good discount.
