I came to your restaurant told would be a 20 minute wait for 2 ,went to bar 50 minutes later we are finally sat down despite people in 4s and 3 s being sat down who arrived after us. we waited for ten minutes for a server, no show and left. why?

This is the best Japanese restaurant in the Tahoe area and they get slammed, come again when they are not so busy and give the food a try you will be pleased. I am a fellow Google reviewer NOT associated with the restaurant.

If this just happened, probably they can't handle the ski-return traffic on Sunday nights (which in turn may be due to their current high review score, which might change over time if they do thing like this more often). BTW the 'ask a question' feature is a Google thing, not associated with the restaurant ... Q's just go to people that have reviewed the restaurant. Owners still might read them though.
