Bring it to the Lafayette municipal dump they take almost everything. I don't know about Ayers but I do know I called Waste Management wanting to get rid of a dishwasher and they quoted me $50.00 !
If you call in advance you might be able to schedule a pickup I know they do it for appliances I'm not sure about televisions.
