I would just like to say i have worked in Hospitals for over 10 years.. and one position was op/er registrar so i am well aware of how hospitals work. ..But double registrations and waits are unnecessary. ..the actual wait once inside lab wasnt that long
Lee makes a good point. The diagnostic lab department (and techs and plebotomists handle the needs of the entire hospital, including the ER. Are you able to consider an outpatient lab like Quest Diagnostics or Lab Corp instead? Depending on the location and time of day there is usually very little wait. I have never waited more than 10 minutes.
Lab is very busy with many different patients to help some in critical condition.
