Yesterday, October 10, 2022 my 86 year old mother-in-law accompanied by her daughter arrived at CMC's emergency room around 1:00pm. My mother-in-law had been vomiting for several nights and was experiencing an episode of delirium. Her doctor wanted her admitted for testing and an overnight observation. 10 hours later after several tests and promises of a room, my mother-in-law walked out of the hospital at around 10:00pm. Why after 10 hours of waiting was an 86 year old women, who at that point was diagnosed with an UTI, still waiting for a room????? This post deserves no stars and I only put 1 star so I can post this message.

Phenomenal hospital! I took my two year old son to Community this weekend for a severe allergic reaction to tree nuts. My son and I were given attention right away. The staff put me in a wheelchair so that I didn't have to carry him. The pediatric nurse, Amanda, was so helpful and formed a bond with my son instantly. She was highly skilled at inserting the IV. She gave him stickers and talked to him so that the whole ordeal was not too scary. They monitored my son, gave me expert advice on what to do and paperwork to read, since this had never happened before. A special shout out to Amanda, the pediatric nurse on duty this Saturday. You made our experience wonderful and my son and I are SO GRATEFUL.

This has to be one of the worst hospitals in the world. I am presently here with my 90 year old mother that fell and broke her hip, smashed her knee, and banged her head. (Yesterday) They did not give her any pain medicine until several hours after we arrived by ambulance. And then I had to fight with them to increase her pain medicine to make her pain manageable. She is scheduled for hip surgery later today. They won't even give us an exact time, and they decided to stop giving her her pain medicine because of the surgery later. I just had a fit and had to make a scene for them to give her pain medicine. I am from out of state and have no experience with this hospital but I wouldn't bring my dog here. For the record, this is a woman that has rarely taken any sort of pain medicine and avoided hospitals her entire life. Update: A couple days after this review my mother started refusing all pain medicine. Just to tell you tell you how she feels about the matter. Go to Jersey Shore hospital in Neptune!

Their Parent Company, RWJBarnabas Health is spending a lot of money expanding and upgrading the Hospital. It is paying off! The quality of care at Community Medical has increased dramatically in the last 5 years. The Nursing staff in the Emergency Room and in the various units are very compassionate. The Doctors and Nurses in the Citta Cancer Center are wonderful. Especially Dr Iyer and the Registered Nurse that works with him, Cheryl, are wonderful. They take time to explain your treatment options and make you feel at ease! The Nursing staff in Unit 2C are amazing. Especially Andrea the RN and Harmony the PCT. They amazed me at how willing they were to take on other departments to help their patients and make sure they had comfort and privacy!

Yes. If you go to head nurse you can get free parking. Depending on the illness. Like icu....heart..but if regular visits I believe no overnight

I have no idea. I strongly advise not to come to this hospital. The care has been sub par for a while.

I was there the other day in the ER and i had chest pains so bad like a 9 in pain level and i was still in the lobby and no one seem to care at all this is the worst hospital ive ever been in and when i finally called my name and i couldn't even speak my chest pain were so bad they didn't even bother to say anything to me when they were taking blood from me something is really wrong with this hospital im sitting there with my hand on my chest crying im trying to tell them im having chest pains so bad but i couldn't they were busy trying to get blood from my arm and i couldnt even talk to tell them im having chest pains and it felt like a heart attack they didn't do anything or even ask me anything like i wasnt even there i could of died i hate this hospital if i go there one more time I'll probably wouldnt even make it this time i rather go to a different hospital

Hi Windber! If you are entering the hospital’s campus off of Hospital Drive, continue past the Main Entrance (which is labelled and has a revolving door). You will pass our Visitor Garage on your right. The Outpatient Entrance will be on your left and is labelled ‘Outpatient Entrance’. If you are entering off of Route 37, the Outpatient Entrance is the first hospital entrance on your right and is labelled ‘Outpatient Entrance’.

I would just like to say i have worked in Hospitals for over 10 years.. and one position was op/er registrar so i am well aware of how hospitals work. ..But double registrations and waits are unnecessary. ..the actual wait once inside lab wasnt that long
They have a volunteer services department, you would need to call and see what paperwork you need yo provide and where they need you.

Because it does. My mom had a severe stroke. I was told at 11 pm I should leave. They where to call the Dr. Mom was admitted only for them not calling her doc. She slipped away. I removed her after I demanded answers. This was in Aug 2015. She came home Sept 14. After I got her in rehab across the street. Needless to say she passed away on Oct 1 2015..They never called her doctor to come to Community for 4 days. I called but the hospital needed to call him. Poor excuse of A hospital..it's just bad all around...use to be good but idk what happened. My mom would have lived if she was attended to asap as u r to do w a stroke!
