Yes it's safe. I just had surgery there 9/25/17 no issues
A good friend just had outpatient surgery there and raved about it. They have been making strides. Looks like they are improving. Good luck.

I would stay far far away from this hospital, the worst I’ve ever visited.
I would NOT go there - ever.
I have had several surgeries including a stent in artery and many tests procedures and everyone there from nurses to volunteers were very attentive and pleasant. However the E R is another story it is a nightmare. Plan on up to 7 + hours before being seen by a doctor. That aside I get treated very well.
Go to Brick. Much better
Drive to Jersey Shore. 2 different ER trips to this hospital. 2 misdiagnoses. Incompetent staff.
Depends on what surgery and your Doctor. If someday and a good doctor that you trust i dont think you have worries..
