Yeah you can. Observe texas bag limit rules. And dude, anyone who says you don't need a license is playing a terrible joke on you. I've seen Game Wardens out here giving tickets. The license is less than 40 bucks statewide for a year at Walmart. The ticket is $500, due in 15 days of the Game Warden issuing it, and it transfers to your DPS file if you don't pay it in time. Bexar County comes down here too now, and they issue a ticket for trespass to people who fish without a license. Evidently, Bexar County has figured out this is an excellent way to make money. You get trespassed and that's a nasty ticket also. The way they get away with this is because you are not in the park lawfully, so they can legally trespass you. Get the license.
Just FYI, for some reason people think you don't need a license, a fishing license is necessary to fish any public body of water. Privately owned bodies of water on private property you only need owner permission. If it is city owned, then it is public water, do the math from there.
Yes you can keep the fish The city stocks it up with trout for the winter and catfish during during the summer. In Texas you need a fishing license to if your over 18. Under 18 no license required. At millers ponds ive never seen anyone get a ticket. So they usually dont go out and check. So cast a rod and get some lunch =)
What is limits of fish? Do you have to pay for how much you catch?
